Fire Department Birthday Wishes
Every year I do a photoshoot for my son, Bryce's, birthday and I let him choose the theme. This year he wanted to honor his grandpa that recently passed away. His Pops worked for Cy-Fair Fire Department and he gifted Bryce his helmets that he cherishes dearly.
Bryce and I took a little drive over to Cy-Fair FD Station 5 in hopes they would allow us to take a few pictures where his Pops used to work. Bryce calls it "Pops' Station." The 2 firefighters (I wish I got your names) not only let me snap these pics, they showed him around and taught Bryce so much. He had at least 200 questions and they answered all of them with patience and kindness.
I can't thank them enough from the bottom of our family's hearts as I am sure you had a million other things you could have done instead.
After going through all the images, these are just a few of my favorites. The one that stands out to me is the one of him walking away. I didn't notice the boots in the background when I was taking that one. It's almost as if he is walking towards filling his Pop's boots, boots that were heroically large, much larger than I knew until he was gone.
